How did this all come about? Last spring and summer, I really started looking at the ingredients in some of the products I was using. Never much of a product junkie, I did use the basics: face wash, moisturizer, deodorant, shampoo, etc… I started looking at the ingredients, then actually started researching the ingredients, and wondering why I was using chemical-laden products to take care of my skin, the largest organ in my body.
I started thinking of ways to create a moisturizer that didn’t contain water as an ingredient, because once water is added, you’ll also need a preservative. I discovered the world of oil-based moisturizers, researched many different oils, and decided on ones that had amazing benefits for the skin on their own. Then I began slow-infusing these oils with Chinese herbs, used for thousands of years to treat a variety of skin conditions.... and the results were magic.
The Balancing Face Oil was tested out on willing friends who gave me their honest feedback, and when those friends started asking when they could buy some, I knew I was onto something.
Honestly, my skin has never looked better. Not trying to toot my own horn, but my skin is smoother, softer, and it just looks brighter and healthier. Besides all those good things, I feel better knowing that I’m not putting chemicals and unknown ingredients on my skin, often listed as “parfum” or “fragrance." Those ingredients don’t need to be disclosed, so really, you’ll never know what they are. Disturbing. That’s why I was so adamant about having the tagline “honestly natural skin care," because it really is.
